Important: Please read this information and your Owner’s Booklet or User Guide as well as the articles provided before using OneTouch® Ultra® Control Solution.
For use with the OneTouch® Ultra® Family of Meters to check that the meter and test strips are working together properly and that you are performing the test correctly.
Expected Results:
At room temperature, OneTouch® Ultra® Control Solution test results should fall within the expected range printed on the test strip vial label.
If test results fall outside the expected range, read the bullet points below and then repeat the control solution test with a new test strip.
Results outside the expected range may indicate:
Failure to follow all the instructions for performing a control solution test described in your Owner’s Booklet or User Guide as well as articles provided.
Control solution is contaminated, expired or past its discard date.
Test strip is damaged, expired or past its discard date.
Control solution test was performed outside the correct temperature range (68–77°F).
Control solution was too warm or too cold.
The result was not matched with the correct control range on the test strip vial.
A problem with the meter.
CAUTION: If you continue to get control solution test results that fall outside the range printed on the test strip vial, Do Not use the meter, test strips, or control solution. Contact your authorized LifeScan representative.
