OneTouch Verio® Control Solution (Level 3 And 4):

Intended Use:
- For use with the OneTouch Verio® Family of Blood Glucose Meters (OneTouch Verio®, OneTouch Verio IQ®, OneTouch VerioSync®, OneTouch Verio Flex®, OneTouch Verio Reflect™) and OneTouch Verio® Test Strips to check that the meter and test strips are working together properly and that the test is performing correctly.
Summary And Explanation:
- OneTouch Verio® Control Solutions contain known amounts of glucose that react with OneTouch Verio® Test Strips.
- Your result should fall within the range of results printed on the test strip vial.
- Use only OneTouch Verio® Control Solutions. Either level can be used to check your system.
- WARNING: Keep the meter and testing supplies away from young children. Small items are choking hazards.
Do A Control Solution Test:
- When you open a new vial of test strips.
- If you think the meter or test strips are not working properly.
- If you get repeated unexpected blood glucose results.
- If you drop or damage the meter.
Test Procedure:
- Read your system User Guide or Owner's Booklet and support articles provided for instructions on how to run a control solution test.
Composition:
- Control solution consists of a viscosity-adjusting agent, a preservative, a dye, a buffer and glucose in water:
- OneTouch Verio® Level 3 Control Solution 0.12%
- OneTouch Verio® Level 4 Control Solution 0.35%
- 75 tests per vial.
Important Safety Information:
- The expiration date is printed on the vial.
- The discard date is 6 months after you first open a control solution vial.
- When you open a new vial, write the discard date on the label.
- Do Not use after the expiration or discard date, whichever comes first.
- Make sure your meter, test strips, and control solution are at the same temperature before testing.
- CAUTION:
- Do Not swallow or ingest control solution.
- Do Not apply control solution to the skin or eyes as it may cause irritation.
Storage And Handling:
- Close the vial tightly right after use.
- Store the control solution in a cool dry place between 41°F and 86°F.
Expected Results:
- Control solution test results should fall within the expected range printed on the
label of the test strip vial.
- OneTouch Verio® Level 3 Control Solution (Blue cap): 102-138 mg/dL
- OneTouch Verio® Level 4 Control Solution (Red cap): 298-403 mg/dL
- If a test result falls outside the expected range, it may mean:
- You didn't follow all the instructions for control solution testing in your User
Guide or Owner's Booklet and the support articles provided. - Control solution is contaminated, expired or past its discard date.
- Test strip or test strip vial is damaged, expired or past its discard date.
- Meter, test strips and/or control solution were not all at the same temperature
when you ran the control solution test. - A problem with the meter.
- Repeat the control solution test with a new test strip.
- CAUTION:
- If you continue to get control solution test results that fall outside the
expected range, Do Not use the meter, test strips, or control solution.

are not recommended ranges for your blood glucose level.
